Floriography, known as the Language of Flowers, is a tradition of attributing symbolism and meaning to flowers circling the world for thousands of years. Many cultures have practiced floriography over thousands of years, and the symbolism of each flower is derived from ancient myths, legends, and practices of different religions.

Floriography is used in different religious contexts, associating flowers with Gods and divine and spiritual energies and used as offerings. While in the Victorian Era, floriography was known to be used as a cryptic communication and to express emotions where each flower has different meanings.

The following content is prayers, blessings, and poems with flowers. With pure intent and sincerity of heart, express your love and conviction to the creator.

You are a flower in a garden where your heart and soul are nourished with the love and compassion of God!

God, thank you for the gift of flowers—the symbol of beauty and life

I offer this flower as an appreciation and honor for your love and grace for the humanity

I ask that you bless this flower a continued growth as a symbol of my perspiration too

Bless these flowers with your loving presence so that I will be reminded of how you cultivate the growth of your garden of creation

As I look at these beautiful flowers, may I be reminded of your love for all the things

Bestow the vibrancy of life just as you illuminate the radiance of life through each petal

May their colors shine bright as a reminder that I should shine my light too

You see, my true colors reflect in every action and pure intention of mind and heart

Allow this beauty to dance with the wind and provide rain to nourish all living creatures. Amen

God's Flower Garden Poem

The gardener of creation loves his garden and ensures the cultivation and growth of his plants. God is a gardener, and you are a beautiful plant in the garden.

The following are poems about God's flower garden.

Flowers in God's Garden

By John Osborne

We all are flowers in God's Garden

Each bearing a differing bloom,

We are only here for a season

And autumn oft cometh too soon.

Each of us has the potential

To be the loveliest of flowers,

To add charm and grace to the Garden

The choice quite simply is ours.

We may bring some joy to a life that is sad

Just through a word that is spoken

We may bring some peace to a troubled mind

Or hope to a heart that is broken.

For every flower has something to give

Or it maybe just something to share,

it may not be much, but may mean a great deal

To someone, sometime, somewhere.

Yes, we all have gifts to use as we will

And we never should miss any chance,

To freely give of the gifts we possess

And with love, God's Garden enhance.

For much may stem from the life that we live

Which now we're not able to see,

But the good seeds we sow, are the flowers that will grow

And bloom in Eternity.

God's Garden

God's garden by Melissa Shreve is a blessing for funerals which many said helped them to find comfort in the well-written poem with love.

God looked around his garden

And found an empty place,

He then looked down upon the earth

And saw your tired face.

He put his arms around you

And lifted you to rest.

God's garden must be beautiful

He always takes the best.

He knew that you were suffering

He knew you were in pain.

He knew that you would never

Get well on earth again.

He saw the road was getting rough

And the hills were hard to climb.

So he closed your weary eyelids

And whispered, ‘Peace bethine'.

It broke our hearts to lose you

But you didn't go alone,

For part of us went with you

The day God called you home.

God's Flower Garden 54Day Novena

The 54day Novena is prayed for the intercession of Mother Mary. Dating back to February 16, 1884, in Naples, Italy, the Blessed Virgin Mary appeared in favor of the afflicted girl. After the afflicted girl and her relatives prayed a novena rosary, Mary came to her in the promise of her healing if she prayed three novenas.

The girl healed after invoking Mary in her prayers.

Why is the 54day Novena called God's flower garden?

Sitting upon the high throne exuberantly decorated by flowers, Mother Mary comes to the afflicted girl in favor. She holds Christ in her lap, dressed in gold embroidered garments and, in her hand, a Rosary. They were accompanied by St. Dominic and St. Catherine of Siena.

Flowers have long been associated with the Blessed Virgin Mary as she is known as the Mystical Rose. The Red rose is the symbol of Mary's love for God, and in the Scriptures, Gabriel appeared with lilies in his hand to recognize Mary's purity.

Offering flowers to Mary as a symbol of gratitude for God's gift of nature with heart response love. Flowers are the most delightful gift you can offer to Mary, and she will answer your prayers with special grace.

Like praying the prayers of Saint Bridget, all things are possible when a sincere heart seeks favor from the Blessed Virgin Mary.

How to pray the 54Day Novena?

The 54-Day Rosary Novena consists of five decades of the Rosary each day for 27 days in petition; then immediately the same for 27 days in thanksgiving, whether or not the request has been granted.

The meditations vary from day to day. For example, on the first day, meditate on the Joyful Mysteries; on the second day, the Sorrowful Mysteries; on the third day, the Glorious Mysteries and so on throughout the 54 days.

Look upon each Hail Mary as a rare and beautiful rose that you lay at Mary's feet. These spiritual roses, bound in a wreath with Spiritual Communions, will be a most pleasing and acceptable gift to her and will bring down upon your special graces.

The Joyful Mysteries

The Sign of the Cross

In the name of the Father, and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit. Amen

Hail Mary

Hail Mary, Full of Grace, The Lord is with thee. Blessed art thou among women, and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus. Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners now, and at the hour of our death. Amen.

Hail! Queen of the Most Holy Rosary, my Mother Mary, hail! At your feet I humbly (in days of thanksgiving: gratefully) kneel to offer you a crown of roses – snow-white buds to remind you of your joys each bud recalling to you a holy mystery; each ten bound together with my petition for a particular grace.

In days of petition: O Holy Queen, dispenser of God's graces and Mother of all who invoke you! You cannot look upon my gift and fail to see its binding. As you receive my gift, so will you receive my petition; from your bounty, you will give me the favor I so earnestly and trustingly seek.

I despair of nothing that I ask of you. Show yourself, my Mother!

In days of thanksgiving: O Holy Queen, dispenser of God's graces and Mother of all who invoke you! You cannot look upon my gift and fail to see its binding. As you receive my gift, so will you receive my thanksgiving; from your bounty, you have given me the favor I so earnestly and trustingly sought.

I despaired not of what I asked of you, and you have truly shown yourself, my Mother.

[Recite Apostles' Creed, Our Father, 3 Hail Marys & Glory Be]

Pray the following:

  1. First Joyful Mystery – The Annunciation
  2. Second Joyful Mystery – The Visitation
  3. Third Joyful Mystery – The Nativity
  4. Fourth Joyful Mystery – The Presentation
  5. Fifth Joyful Mystery – The Finding of the Child Jesus in the Temple

After every end of each category of the Joyful Mystery, recite Our Father, 10 Hail Mary's, Glory Be, and Fatima Prayer.

Then say: I bind these snow-white buds with a petition for the virtue of humility and humbly lay this bouquet at your feet.

Concluding Prayers for Each Category of Mysteries

Hail Holy Queen

Hail, Holy Queen, Mother of Mercy, hail our life, our sweetness, and our hope! To thee do we cry poor banished children of Eve; to thee do we send our sighs, mourning and weeping in this vale of tears. Turn then, O most gracious advocate, thine eyes of mercy towards us, and after this our exile show unto us the blessed fruit of thy womb, Jesus, O clement, O loving, O sweet Virgin Mary.

Pray for us, O Holy Mother of God. That we may be made worthy of the promises of Christ.

Let us pray: O God, whose only begotten Son, by His life, death and resurrection has purchased for us the rewards of eternal life; grant, we beseech You, that meditating on these mysteries of the most Holy Rosary of the Blessed Virgin Mary, we may both imitate what they contain and obtain what they promise, through the same Christ our Lord. Amen.

May the divine assistance remain always with us. Amen

And may the souls of the faithful departed, through the mercy of God, rest in peace. Amen.

Spiritual Communion

My Jesus, really present in the most Holy Sacrament of the altar, since I cannot now receive You under the Sacramental Veil, I beseech You, with a heart full of love and longing, to come spiritually into my soul through the immaculate heart of Your most Holy Mother, and abide with me forever; You in me, and I in You, in time and in eternity.

In days of petition: Sweet Mother Mary, I offer you this Spiritual Communion to bind my bouquets in a wreath to place upon your brow. O, my Mother! Look with favor upon my gift, and in your love obtain for me (specify request).

In days of thanksgiving: Sweet Mother Mary, I offer you this Spiritual Communion to bind my bouquets in a wreath to place upon your brow in thanksgiving for (specify request), which you in your love have obtained for me.

[Recite the same prayers for both Sorrowful Mysteries and the Glorious Mysteries.]

The Sign of the Cross

In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. Amen

Promises of the 54 Day Rosary Novena:

Through St. Dominic and Alan de Rupe, the Blessed Virgin Mary gave 15 promises to whoever faithfully pray the Rosary shall receive grace.

1) To all those who shall recite my Rosary devoutly, I promise my special protection and very great graces.

2) Those who shall persevere in the recitation of my Rosary shall receive some signal grace.

3) The Rosary shall be a very powerful armor against hell; it will destroy vice, deliver from sin, and dispel heresy.

4) The Rosary will make virtue and good works flourish and will obtain for souls the most abundant divine mercies; it will substitute in hearts the love of God for love of the world and will lift them to the desire of heavenly and eternal things. How many souls shall sanctify themselves by this means?

5) Those who trust themselves to me through the Rosary shall not perish.

6) Those who shall recite my Rosary devoutly, meditating on its mysteries, shall not be overwhelmed by misfortune. The sinner shall be converted; the just shall grow in grace and become worthy of eternal life.

7) Those truly devoted to my Rosary shall not die without the Sacraments of the Church.

8) Those who recite my Rosary shall find during their life and at their death the light of God, the fullness of His graces, and shall share in the merits of the blessed.

9) I shall deliver very promptly from purgatory the souls devoted to my Rosary.

10) The true children of my Rosary shall enjoy great glory in heaven.

11) What you ask through my Rosary, you shall obtain.

12) Those who propagate my Rosary shall be aided by me in all their necessities.

13) I have obtained from my Son that all the members of the Rosary Confraternity shall have for their brethren the saints of heaven during their life and at the hour of death.

14) Those who recite my Rosary faithfully are all my beloved children, the brothers, and sisters of Jesus Christ.

15) Devotion to my Rosary is a great sign of predestination.
