In Greek myth, Chiron was the son of the Titan Cronus and the sea nymph Philyra. He was the mentor and teacher of Asclepius, Achilles, Hercules, and other heroes. He was called the “wisest and justest of all the centaurs”.  He was also famous for his knowledge and skill in medicine.

Chiron was immortal. He could not die nor heal himself. In the myth, a poisoned arrow accidentally pierced him. He prayed to the gods to end his suffering and let him die. Astrologers refer to him as the “wounded healer” because his healing powers did not work on his wounds.

In other words, we might have trouble healing ourselves, but we are able to help others in their healing journey. Because we have lived through pain and traumatic experiences, we understand and develop empathy for those who have experienced the same pain.

Chiron shows us how to become a teacher through our painful experiences. By helping others, we eventually heal ourselves as well.

Your Chiron in Aries Wounds

The Chiron wound of Aries is all about a core feeling of worthlessness. This is maybe the most painful wound of all because it is the most difficult to understand.

The normal Aries is confident, courageous, and bold, whereas those with the placement of Chiron in Aries won't often feel sure of themselves. They feel they are lacking a true purpose. Self-sabotage, lack of self-worth, and insecurities are some issues of those who have a Chiron in Aries placement. Their wounds can also manifest in aggression, pent-up anger, and selfishness.

Acknowledging and confronting your wounds is the first step in your healing process. Some people with Aries Chiron wound can actually move forward quickly if they acknowledge their pains right away.

You tend to feel that you don’t belong. You see other people living their life with a purpose, but you often perceive you don't have one. This makes you think that maybe you don't have the right to exist. Life seems meaningless to you. Lack of self-worth becomes your gnawing spiritual pain.

During your childhood or your karmic past life, you were taught that your unique qualities were bad and that there was something wrong with your beliefs. This results in poor self-confidence. You think you did not have the right to be yourself. You doubt your existence and you may suppress your sense of individuality. This lack of self-worth and sense of self often manifests through your mood swings.

People Pleasing and Intensely Influenced by Others

Due to a lack of self-worth, you go out of your way just to make other people happy. To convince yourself you have a purpose in life, you feed on people’s praises. You feel the need to please them while believing falsely that your unique qualities are generally not good.

You hold the belief that you don’t have the right to ask for what you need and want. This may result in suppressed anger. You may appear calm, collected, and sweet, but you actually have a pent-up frustration and anger inside you.

Insecurity

You feel that you are unworthy of life. Small insignificant fights can make you feel incredibly useless. You try hard to prove your uniqueness and worthiness through the approval of other people. So, you tend to live with praises to compensate for your insecurities.

These issues of insecurities may result in pent-up frustration and anger. So, you snap at people even over little things.

How Do You Heal?

In order for you to heal, you must realize that some of your beliefs about yourself are not true. Confronting your fears and wounds is the key to your healing journey. Do your best to channel your suppressed anger into something healthy and non-destructive manner.

Your Healing Gift

Your Chiron wounds may never completely heal, but you will find your purpose through dealing with your pains. Remember, you exist for a reason.

Empowering Yourself and Helping Others

Your childhood experiences of stifled individuality and unique qualities have killed your self-worth. Trying hard to impress and please others will not do you good in empowering yourself. Let go of your false beliefs. These beliefs don’t serve you. They hinder you from having the freedom to embrace yourself and your values. You were born to express your individuality and express your unique qualities.

Express your true self, so you’ll be seen and heard. Do not copy other people just for them to like you. Accept that taking a step forward will help a great deal in your progress. Do not let others control you. Don’t let them make you feel that you don’t have the right to be yourself. Your very existence is the proof you deserve to be here.

Helping People through Transitions

You might try to help people who lack self-worth because you have been in their shoes, living without a sense of self. You are pretty good at recognizing these character traits. This is your healing gift, your greater understanding of the pain and suffering involving self-worth and sense of self.

By embracing your spiritual warrior energy, serving others will only be natural to you. You radiate enough healing energy to help those around you with the same pain. It will not be easy for you to open your past experiences. Learn to share it with others and your healing journey starts.
