It's commonly seen in movies where it's used to cleanse one's soul. When it rains, it acts like a redeeming event that can free one's soul and get rid of all the negativity and evil thoughts in your mind.

Not just on our body, but rain can also cleanse the air and get rid of polluted air. Have you noticed how refreshing the air is after a rainfall? Of course, rain has a calming quality too.

When it rains calmly with no wind, it might symbolize calmness. However, that's different when the storm comes by and damage everything.

It forces everyone to stay at home and think about the surroundings and ourselves. While some people don't like it, it's an excellent opportunity to reflect on our feelings and what we do in the past.

Moreover, the rain is a welcoming respite for people trying to fall asleep. Just listening to raindrops falling on the window can make you calm down after a stressful day.

Rain also signifies rebirth and growth.

Without rain or water, life here on Earth is impossible. It's responsible for keeping the whole cycle alive because it helps flowers and other species on Earth to grow.

The rain is a source of fluids to keep them alive and growing while continuing the life cycle. The lakes, seas, and other bodies of water would drain without the help of rain, and there would be no water on Earth.

Simply, life would be impossible.

We can connect this with the difficulties we're facing in our lives. There are tough times initially, but these hard times will allow us to change and grow. Without rain (difficulties), there would be no change (grow).

However, the rain can also play a negative role. It can trigger feelings of sadness and depression.

When it rains, it goes dark, can bring negativity, and heighten negative feelings and thoughts within us.

That's why you feel nostalgic or blues when it rains. This negative feeling associated with rain is commonly shown in movies to create a gloomy feeling. Moreover, the rain is also a hindrance that prevents someone from getting the goal.

That's why in every romantic movie, there's always a rain scene; usually, the lead character is reminiscing about the other person. It's because the rain droplets falling into the body help you recall all the warmth of your loved ones.
